Rocky Point Fire Dept. covers about 48 square miles including Rocky Point, Shoreham, Inc.Village of Shoreham and 6800 acre NYS Forest Preserve. On the north side of the Dist.is 7 miles of beach front on L.I. Sound. Rocky Point is located 65mi east of New York City on Long Island's Eastern North Shore. We serve a population of about 30,000 people for Fire and Ambulance service. Rocky Point Fire Dept. has 3 Stations

Station 1 is Rocky Point Co.#1 located on the west side of the Dist., Station 2 is North Shore Beach Co.#2 Located in the central part of the Dist. and Station 3 is Shoreham Co.#3 Located on the East Side of the Dist.

Rocky Point Fire Dept. is bordered by 5 Fire Depts.on the west end Sound Beach FD (5a6-0) and Miller Place FD (5a9-0), on the southwest is Middle Island FD (5-15-0), southeast is Ridge FD (5-22-0) and to the east is Wading River FD (6-3-0)
